During last year’s spring event, Apple announced the inexpensive iPhone SE, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and new bands for the Apple Watch. The year before we saw a new 12-inch MacBook, 3rd-gren Apple TV, the first Apple Watch, and upgrades to the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. If Apple continues the pattern, we should be expecting nothing less than great.
iPad Mini Rumors
Apple has not upgraded the iPad Mini since the release of in 2013. Therefore, it’s been rumored that we may be expecting the iPad Mini 5 this spring. However, it’s also possible that Apple may rebrand the iPad Mini 5 as the iPad Pro mini. Also, rumors add that the new iPad Mini will have Smart Connector, a True Tone display, four speakers and a 12-megapixel rear-facing iSight camera.
iPhone Rumors
Usually, Apple announces new iPhones in the fall. Nevertheless, that changed when Apple introduced the 4-inch iPhone SE last spring. The iPhone SE featured many of the same insides as the larger iPhone 6S. It’s likely that Apple will introduce the successor to the iPhone SE during the March 2017 event.
Rumors for the iPhone don’t end there. Apple may add a new color to the iPhone 7 line after initially being rumored for the iPhone 8. A red iPhone 7 may be in the works. Adding a new color mid-cycle would help increase sales for the iPhone 7 without making any new hardware upgrades. Apple has already made big moves by removing the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and replacing all ports on the MacBook Pros with only USB-C. Now, it is said that Apple will change the Lightning connector with a USB-C port.
Apple Watch Rumors
The original Apple Watch debuted in April 2015. We now have the Apple Watch Series 2 which is simply an upgrade in specs and not a complete redesign. Some rumors lead to us believing that we will see a new smart band that will act as an extra display.
When is the event?
At the moment there are two possible dates for the event. The earlier will be set for late March, possibly March 21st. However, the later will be in early April, possibly April 4th. We have no choice but to wait and see.
