Fortnite is a battle royal game between you and 99 other players that has rapidly taken over gamers consoles over the past few months. Originally Fortnite was only available on Xbox, PlayStation 4, and PC. However, now, Epic Games created a mobile app that has hit the iOS App Store. However, to play Fortnite, you’ll need at least one of the following devices- iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4/Pro/Air2- running at least iOS 11. Unfortunately, downloading the game isn’t as easy as going to the App Store and tapping download. You will need to be invited and we will tell you how!
How to Get Invited to Play Fortnite Mobile on iOS
- Sign up for an email invite on Fortnite’s official site.
- You wait until they email you the invite. Typically happens within a few days.
- Now, you received your invite and can download the app from the App Store.
- Open up the app and log in and play.
Who Can You Play With?
One major distinction between Fortnite and other games is that Fortnite is a cross-platform game. Therefore, mobile players can play against gamers on Xbox, PlayStation 4, and PC. However, you will not be able to play with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 plays during the same match. Some may view this as an unfair advantage because they feel that playing Fortnite using the on-screen controls on the iOS device isn’t as intuitive as a gaming controller. Nevertheless, you will be up against players that may be better on mobile than on controllers.
